The Babe & Dick Chaney Memorial Golf Tournament was started in 1999 to help fight the dreaded disease of cancer. Eugene "Babe" Chaney, the founder of Chaney Enterprises, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 51. At the age of 57, his son Richard "Dick" Chaney died from the same illness.
To carry on their competitive spirit, the Chaney Golf Tournament was started to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Over the past 8 years, the Chaney Golf Tournament has raised over $825,000 for the American Cancer Society and other local charities.
This year's event will directly benefit the Chaney Foundation and other local charities of your choice. For the 1st and 2nd Place teams in each flight, the Chaney Foundation will make a generous donation to the charity of their choice, with all remaining funds going to the Chaney Foundation.
In addition to the round of golf, we are continuing a "Walk the Course" before the tournament to help us in our cause. We hope to make a big impact on our local community and with your help, we can make that difference.
The tournament provides an excellent opportunity to entertain clients, associates, and reward valuable employees. The event includes a catered lunch, dinner w/open bar, a live auction with numerous door prizes, and a little friendly competition!
This year's tournament will be held on June 2nd at Old South Country Club in Lothian, MD.
