Eugene Chaney Foundation, Ltd to raffle
1958 Mercedes Convertible
To benefit The Center for Business & Industry
Waldorf, Maryland— Chaney Enterprises'
President, Frank Chaney, announced at Thursday
evenings Charles County Chamber of Commerce Mixer
that the Eugene Chaney Foundation, Ltd. plans to
raffle off a 1958 red Mercedes 190SL convertible
for $50.00/ticket, as the Eugene Chaney Foundation
and Charles County Community College are combining
efforts to build a better tomorrow. All proceeds
from the raffle will benefit the Center for Business
and Industry, scheduled for completion in early
1996.
Only 2,000 chances will be sold. The car will
be displayed in the St. Charles Towne Center from
August 11 - September 10. While the vintage Mercedes
is displayed at the Mall, a 50 ton sand sculpture
will be constructed nearby by a Michigan company.
The sculpture will depict the Center for Business
and Industry building and a Chaney Enterprises'
mixer pouring concrete.
Forms to purchase chances for the car may be
picked up at the Mall, the Community College's
Campus
Bookstore, Smallwood Village Center Campus,
the Community College at Calvert County, the Community
College at St. Mary's County, The Concrete
Store,
and any one of Chaney Enterprises' 10 locations
in Charles, Calvert, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel
and Prince George's Counties.
The drawing will take place on Friday, October
20, 1995 at 12:00 PM at Charles County Community
College.
