Chaney Foundation Donates $20,000 to Cancer Society
Waldorf, Maryland— Representatives of the
Eugene Chaney Foundation, a charitable organization
founded by Chaney Enterprises, presented a check
for $20,000 to the American Cancer Society. The
donation is the result of Chaney Enterprises' 16th
Annual Bull & Oyster Roast held last October
for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.
The Eugene Chaney Foundation has raised over
$407,000 of which $144,819.18 is in a special CD
trust account
from which the American Cancer Society collects
interests annually. The additional $12,559.19
raised from October's event has also been deposited
into
the CD account.
More than 100 Chaney Enterprises employees, family
members and friends of the company contributed
their time and energy for the event. Last year,
1,105 tickets were sold and the volunteers served
808 guests. For more information on the upcoming
1996 Bull Roasts contact Ms. Cynthia Kumbar at
