Chaney Enterprises Accepts Three National Awards
Chaney Enterprises’ CEO, Francis H. Chaney
II, was recently presented with two first place
awards and an honorable mention at the National
Aggregates Associations’ annual convention
in San Francisco California. First place was presented
to Chaney Enterprises for both the Excellence in
Community Education and Pantheon Awards in recognition
of their outstanding commitment to providing educational
programs and quality local material. The honorable
mention was presented to Chaney Enterprises for
the Excellence in Community Service Award in recognition
of their continuing commitment to providing financial
and volunteer support to the surrounding communities.
The National Aggregates Association has created
these three awards in an effort to acknowledge
the outstanding community service and quality products
produced by the businesses in the aggregates industry.
The National Aggregates Association is the largest
international trade association in the world
representing companies engaged in the direct production
of sand,
gravel, and crushed and broken stone. The organization
has assumed a leading role in protecting and
advancing interests of the aggregate industry,
developing,
engineering and research programs to improve
the use of industry products, and working with
public
and private organizations for the development
and the establishment of reasonable standards for
reclamation
of mined areas.
Founded in 1962, Chaney Enterprises is a family-owned
and operated business and is the leading supplier
of concrete, sand, gravel, stone and concrete
block
in Southern Maryland. Equal to the company’s commitment to be the best
in their business is their commitment to the communities in which their employees
live and work. One of Chaney Enterprises’ seven corporate goals is “to
be good neighbors by demonstrating community involvement.” To accomplish
this goal, Chaney Enterprises provides support to more than 180 non-profit,
cultural, medical, environmental, educational, youth, and community organizations
and events. In addition, the company’s employees each year volunteer
thousands of hours of their time to support community activities.
