The American Concrete Institute has Recognized
Chaney Enterprises With Two First Place Awards
Two outstanding projects recently completed in
Southern Maryland have given Chaney Enterprises
the opportunity to be rewarded for the quality
products they provide. Chaney Enterprises’ concrete
was used in the renovations at Six Flags Over America
in Largo, MD and the Insulated Concrete Form Homes
constructed at the Washington Square project in
LaPlata, MD. Both projects have been recognized
for their quality craftsmanship, unique construction
methods, suitability to their environment and aesthetic
appeal. Both are a true representation of the new
way of construction in the 21st century.
Chaney Enterprises was fortunately selected to
assist in the spectacular transformation that turned
Six Flags Over America into a mockup of Gotham
City. Increte Decorative and Durable Cast-In-Place
Concrete were used in the patterned concrete walkways,
which now guide visitors from the 40,000 sq. ft.
entrance through to the sights of Gotham City.
A Batman logo spanning 30 ft. x 50 ft. in concrete
truly brings to life the Gotham Cities Hero.
The Insulated Concrete Form project at Washington
Square Homes received the Outstanding Concrete
Project of 1999 award. The project was completed
using an innovative method of constructing homes
with concrete walls rather than wood. The benefits
of using concrete walls include: safety, durability,
energy savings, significant noise reduction,
and decreased maintenance.
Chaney Enterprises proudly received these two
awards in honor of their commitment to providing
the highest
quality products coupled with original ideas
for incorporating them into the ever-changing
construction
industry of the 21st century.
