The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland Honors Francis H. Chaney, II

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland honored Francis H. Chaney, II, Chairman of the Board of Chaney Enterprises, for his continuous support and commitment of area Boys and Girls Clubs.

As an active board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, Frank has seen first hand how effective Boys & Girls Clubs nationally researched and tested programs are on today's youth. The Chaney Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Chaney Enterprises, continuously gives back to the communities in which they are located.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland (BGCSM) honored Frank at the first annual Celebrity Waiter Luncheon held on October 31, 2006 at the Waldorf Jaycees Hall. All of the funds raised will go to support the programs and services at the Boys & Girls Club at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School. On a daily basis, approximately 150 Charles County youth are being served at the Club at Barnhart - a safe, nurturing place to receive tutoring, computer education, sports training, homework help, and mentoring.

Thank you to all of the local community organizations and businesses who came out to celebrate with Frank and see first hand how the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland does make a difference to our local youth.
